Choosing the Right Collar or Harness
Measure correctly and choose gear that keeps walks safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Measure first
For collars, measure around the neck where the collar sits. For harnesses, measure the chest at its widest point behind the front legs.
Collar vs harness
Harnesses distribute pressure across the chest and are ideal for pullers. Collars work well for trained walkers and ID tag visibility.
Fit checklist
- No chafing behind legs or armpits
- Clip or buckle sits flat without twisting
- Pet can sit, lie down, and move naturally
